Last month, I chose not to get my regular Julep Maven box because I was trying out Cult Cosmetics’ Black Box program and still trying to get a feel of it. After previewing this month’s box during the selection window, there was absolutely no way I could say no to this month’s box since it included an eyeshadow palette! This is Julep’s first eyeshadow palette and all the shades are neutral (my fave)! Here’s what came in the December Julep Maven Box – Boho Glam:

Joelle is a glittery silver Nail polish with very fine bits of glitter. What I love about it is that you can layer it to be almost full coverage! And Misti is a gray + teal combo that is perfect for winter.

And here is the eyeshadow palette! It’s not a big palette but I love the colors they chose to include! You can do so much with these five lightly shimmery colors. The eyeshadow is pretty fine and seems to have good blendability. Yes, I just made that word up. But, I noticed you need a lot for it to show. I had to load up my brush when I was testing them out and needed to layer over and over to get the right shade, but in a sense that is a good thing because you can really control how much you color you want without committing to something too highly pigmented.

On my medium/olive skin tone, the dark colors showed up very well, and the lightest color is actually invisible, being a perfect match for my skin tone I guess! I can use that on days when I want to look natural but put together with a little shimmer.

In addition to our nail polish and beauty product, I received two twistbands! I love wearing twistbands and actually made a tutorial a while back on how to make your own! They are awesome.
