Woohoo! I’ve finally hit my 20th Favorite Finds post. I hope you are all enjoying your September so far. I know I am, though it’s a pretty busy month.
Have the leaves started changing color in your neighborhood yet? Seen any pretty sunsets yet? It’s still scorching hot around here. We’ll probably see things cool down in a few weeks.
Anyway, here are a few posts I stumbled across this past week that I just had to share with you!
Homemade Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts – Ahhh, these take me back! Back to the good old days of school when I would eat these for breakfast or as a snack during the day. It’s really difficult for me to bring myself to eat a Pop-Tart now, knowing all the chemical junk in there, but I would happily indulge in a homemade version. To taste that cinnamon glaze again *drifting off into a daydream*.
Baked Stuffed Sweet Potatoes – I’m going to be frank with you––I don’t really care for sweet potatoes. They taste ALRIGHT to me, but I’d rather just eat your run-of-the-mill potatoes. You won’t see me going crazy over sweet potato fries, especially the thick-cut ones that are just like steak fries. Nope.
BUT, these baked stuffed sweet potatoes look really good. I would definitely try them and see how they are! I think the chili powder and lime crema would really enhance the flavor and make these sweet potatoes taste incredible.
Striped Lantern Garland DIY – How festive do these lanterns look? Wouldn’t this be pretty strung above a patio? Or even strung across a room? Not only do they look beautiful, but they look pretty easy to make and fairly fail-proof!
Watercolor Curtains – I instantly fell in love with this idea as soon as I saw it! Watercolor curtains are a great way to add a gentle tint of color to a room without the colors being too overbearing. I love the gentle gradient between the colors too and how easy it would be to customize this to any room.
