Halloween is the perfect time to experiment with different “dark” manis. Throughout the month I have been sporting crackle/shatter manis and more, but nothing screams Halloween more than GLOW IN THE DARK Nails!
This look was extremely easy to achieve, since the nail polish I used was glow in the dark polish. I am wearing Sofia by Julep. I layered a couple of shades of white polish on my nails, and then layered another couple shades of Sofia on top. The white makes the polish pop, especially since the green is actually sheer. Normally I don’t recommend wearing more than 3 coats of nail polish, but this was an exception, especially since Sofia dried quickly.
In order to get the polish to really glow, you have to shine a light all over the nails and immediately step into a dark space. The glow doesn’t last too long–in fact, you can probably watch it fade. However, it can glow pretty bright, depending on what you layer the polish over.
