Hey friends,
It’s been almost a whole month since I’ve put something up for you guys. Things have been pretty nuts (lots of highs and lots of lows) for me these days and as much as I wanted to write for you guys (truly, I did), I was just never able to find the time and/or energy to put something up for you all. I’m hoping to be putting up a few more awesome posts for you all soon and that this post gives me the start I need to get back on track.
I want to share some of the positive and fun things that have been happening lately! Also, who else is excited for summer?
A beach trip to Santa Cruz, CA. How many of you have been to or at least heard of Santa Cruz?I actually lived in Santa Cruz for a while, so it holds a special place in my heart. This small coastal town has a big reputation for some of the most hippie folks in America. There are definitely some moments you have to stop and people watch, but this place has so much to offer for a weekend away whether you’re going as a couple, with a group of friends, or with your family. The thing is, finding the great food, great views, and the fun activities to do can be a little tricky. After spending part of Memorial Day weekend in Santa Cruz, I decided I’m planning another “Not-as-touristy” guide for you all to Santa Cruz so you can really make the most of your time there.
Hanacure. Who else has been seeing Hanacure masks pop up on their newsfeeds? After seeing the ads and seeing the testimonials, I decided to order the masks and give them a shot. I love face masks, as my skin tends to be irritated quite often so they give me a sense of relief. Hanacure is on another level. After one use, I started to see a difference in my skin after a few days. Dark spots were going away and my cheeks were looking less red. I’ve only used the mask twice so far but I’ve already ordered another set so that I can be consistent with the masks and see results. Since this mask is so popular, they let people pre-order the masks. Right now, you can pre-order for early August delivery. They’re definitely pricy, but if you’re looking to treat your skin to something special, it just might be worth the cost.
A quick trip to Seattle. I made a quick three day trip to Seattle just last weekend to celebrate my brother’s graduation. The day before his ceremony, wow did we eat a LOT. And walk, a LOT. And drink, a LOT. We indulged in fresh oysters, $5 small lattes, cider flights with some interesting and obscure ingredients, flavorful bowls of ramen, and very delicious and nominally priced sushi (I’m talking $2 rolls). All this in a span of 6 hours. And we may or may not have continued this trend for the rest of my visit. I was bloated for days! But I was blissfully enjoying everything I was eating. Seattle really has a lot to offer. Again, you just have to know where to look :)
Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones. It might seem kind of random that I’m talking about these earphones here, but holy crap they’re probably one of the best purchases I have made in a long long time. These noise cancelling headphones do a great job of blocking out irritating noises like traffic, coworkers’ music, and more. I think I took the best nap of my life when wearing these headphones. The music is very balanced and if you’re a fan of audiobooks but find you get distracted by other sounds while listening, you will not regret purchasing these headphones.
Sweat. I’ve been a fan of Kayla Itsines since the beginning of the year when I first started her BBG program. I then took a break from it to do barre classes, and then I lost all consistency once I went on vacation and life got nuts. It was difficult to schedule time to workout. My motivation did start to come back once I downloaded the Sweat app. I’m pretty impressed by how motivational it is and I like how it tracks all my workouts, provides a meal plan, and gives me options to do other workout plans. If you’re looking for a workout plan with proven results, I highly recommend downloading her app AND also following her on Instagram. She constantly posts transformations, showing women that they too, can do it.
Wonder Woman. Dude, you just gotta watch it. In theaters. Where was this movie when I was a kid?
Instagram. I’m getting close to hitting 1000 followers on Instagram! I smell a contest or a giveaway coming soon!
That’s all I’ve got for now! Any of you have fun plans for the summer?
