What’s life like with an ice cream machine? I imagine it’s totally fabulous. If you have an ice cream maker, I kinda envy you. One day I will eventually buy one but until then, I’ll be trying to find ways to make ice cream without an ice cream maker/machine.
I wanted to blend my love for ice cream and love for Nutella into one by making Nutella Ice cream.
Why? Because, why not?
The consistency of this ice cream is creamy and smooth, and the flavor is intensely rich. In fact, this ice cream took slower to freeze than expected because it’s so creamy. I think the Nutella made this extra extra creamy.
It only uses a 4 ingredients and is very easy to make at home! It doesn’t take very long to make the ice cream before putting it into the freezer. It makes about 2 quarts of ice cream too, so if you want to make some for a dinner party or something, you’ll have plenty to serve.
Nutella Ice Cream (No Ice Cream Maker or Machine Needed)
Makes 16 single scoop servings
Ingredients:
- 16 fl oz heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Nutella
- 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, use a mixer to beat the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract into whipped cream. When you start to see peaks form (and it starts to resemble whipped cream), fold in the Nutella and the sweetened condensed milk.
Pour into a two quart container and freeze overnight!
When serving, you can even pour some chocolate syrup on, or you can also do what I do and crush some Ferrero Rocher chocolate and sprinkle the bits over the ice cream.
Yum

Can I just freeze this for 4 to 5 hours?

Hi Hannah,
It’s not recommended, but if you freeze the ice cream in a shallow container (or maybe even two shallow containers), you may be able to get away with freezing it for a shorter amount of time.

Can I add marshmallow bits in it too? If yes when?
