Oh boy. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. This is THE best pizza I’ve ever made. At home. In the oven. And I’m really excited to write about it.
The toppings on this pizza meld together so well; the crispy prosciutto and sweet peaches complement the melted cheeses in an unbelievable way. Who really would have thought that sweet, juicy peaches would be so good as a pizza topping?
If you’ve got a sweet tooth like me or if you have a soft spot for honey, you can drizzle some honey onto the pizza for comforting sweetness. Because honey + peaches are divine.
If you are into making pizzas this summer like I am and are a huge fan of peaches, you’re absolutely going to love this recipe. I used the thin crust pizza dough recipe from the Margherita Pizza here.
Peach & Prosciutto Pizza
Get the recipe and ingredients for the dough here
Ingredients:
- 1 large yellow peach
- 2 slices of prosciutto
- 1 oz. goat cheese
- 1 oz. mozzarella cheese
- Optional: Honey, to taste
- Optional: Basil, to garnish
Directions:
Follow the directions to make the dough above.
Preheat oven to 525F.
Slice the peaches into wedges. Try to make the wedges as thin as possible for the highest taste payoff and optimal texture. Yeah, I went there.
Slice the mozzarella as well.
After rolling out the dough on a pizza pan, layer on the peaches. Then add some crumbles of goat cheese and the sliced mozzarella. Top with torn pieces of prosciutto.
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
Garnish with basil and drizzle on honey if you’d like! Slice and serve immediately for the best taste.
Yum
