My PopSugar box arrived earlier than expected! I was quite surprised to see that it shipped on the 6th of the month. However, the surprise died down a little after actually opening my box and seeing what I got.
This month’s has a romantic theme with a focus on treating yourself well and pampering yourself.
Gorjana Brooks Jewelry Roll – $45.00
This jewelry wallet by Gorjana Griffin is cute to look at! I love the style and it even reminds me of the jewelry wallet my mother used to use when I was a little girl. The bright red is gorgeous. However, I must say, since they were probably mass produced in a hurry, the quality is a little “eh” and the logo on the inside of my bag is crooked. It feels like they just used cardboard or something to make it. Other than the quality though, cute bag!
Nourish Organic Pure Hydrating Argan Face Serum – $23.99
This is awesome for girls with dry skin and really anyone suffering from bone-chilling temps across the nation. In fact, I’m sure most of the ladies who receive this product will be quite thankful! Unfortunately for me, I cant use argan oil on my face. Argan oil has silicone in it, which clogs pores. Since I have sensitive skin and my pores clog easily, argan oil essentially acts as a catalyst for breakouts.
K Hall Designs Peony Travel Candle – $11
This candle smells wonderful and is quite fragrant for it’s tiny size. The pamphlet says that it burns for 20 hours, which is great! I wish the candle were a little bigger but seeing as it’s a travel candle, it’s small size and high burn time is awesome!
ModelCo Lip Pops Duo Lip Gloss and Lip Stick – $25
I’m not a big lip stick or lip gloss user, but I can definitely see the advantages of having a lip gloss and lip stick in the same shade, on the same stick! It’s nice how it simplifies getting ready a little more and makes traveling a little lighter. This color is universally flattering too!
Sugarwish Mini Red Cinnamon Hearts – $7.50
First of all, I have to comment on how cute the packaging is. Imagine a Tiffany’s-style box with a cute little bow! I don’t really care for cinnamon candy (cinnamon pastries are a different story) so I will probably be giving these to a friend, but the presentation is awesome! Also, they give you a lot of candy in the small box. You can order candy from these guys online. And since they included a coupon code, I definitely might take them up on the offer!
NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty Nail Polish – $16.00
This dark and bold shade of red is perfect for February. It’s a romantic color and such a classic. NCLA has 5-free polishes (yes!), so this polish being 5-free is a major plus. Even though I definitely have this color from a different brand, I’m happy that I finally get to try this brand out!
Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash – $3.00
So….I was a little upset when I received this in my box, probably because it was the first thing I saw. I get that PopSugar has partnerships and stuff with big brands which is why items like this probably get added in, but I don’t want some drug store brand body wash, even if it is full-size, in my box. Is this really a must have item? I didn’t even include it in my photo. I feel like it doesn’t count.
Overall, I wouldn’t say this box is anything to write home about, only because I’ll be using 3/7 items that came in the box. Most of the other items are great, but just not for me. Also, it felt a lot more like a step up from Birchbox than being a PopSugar Must Have box. There was a lot of beauty-related stuff in here. I don’t usually mind getting a bunch of beauty-related products but I already subscribe to Birchbox, Julep, and Cult Cosmetics which give me beauty products monthly.
The total value of the box comes out to be $131.50. Not bad, but not the best value box they’ve put together either.
Here’s to hoping next month’s box is awesome! I have a 6-month subscription so I’d really like to feel like I’m getting my money’s worth.
Are you a PopSugar Must Have subscriber? How did you feel about this box?
