Unboxing my September Birchbox this month was a little bit different than usual. First, it arrived even before my PopSugar box. Second, the beautiful geometric pattern on the box gave away that this box was going to be something special.
This month is Birchbox’s anniversary month! They’ve been around for 4 years now. That’s shocking! I have been a subscriber since the beginning of 2012. I remember the days of having to put your name on a waiting list and then possibly getting the chance to subscribe the next month. Oh, the nostalgia!

Davines is a brand I’m familiar with, and I love their products. My hair stylist used to use Davines products on my hair at his old salon. I loved the lightweight feel and my hair was definitely frizz-free. I got a very generous sample of the Davines Conditioner. It’s the little round container in the photo. I also got a few packet samples of the Oil and Shampoo. Good stuff!
I just tried the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish kit, and it works so well! I didn’t remove any of my makeup before using the product, and I was wearing foundation and eye makeup. You actually apply the cleanser onto your dry skin, then use the moist wash cloth to polish off the product and all the impurities sitting on your skin. Instead of my skin feeling dried and irritated (and even a little red), my face still looks moisturized and my skin tone looks amazing! I would definitely consider buying the full-size product.
The Acure Organics Day Cream is something I must try. It’s an antiaging moisturizer that firms and protects skins made with gotu kola stem cells. It even contains antioxidants and helps protect your skin against free radicals and environmental damage.
Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm! I’ve been seeing a lot of Pixi products around and people really seem to love them! Although I’m usually averse to lip products, I am interested in giving this lip balm a try! I love the bright color, and you can layer it on for a more intense hue.
More Atelier Cologne! I have such a selection of Atelier Colognes thanks to Birchbox. This one is very fragrant, containing a blend of vanilla, jasmine, and lime notes.
I’m definitely impressed with my box this month! Ahh so in love with the cleanser right now! I just used it and my skin feels amazing!
