Perks of being by the pool in January? 🏊 No crowds. One of the best things about California in the winter is that sometimes, you really luck out with springtime weather. ☀️ 😎 ⁣

So one evening, we picked up some steaming hot pizzas from Amici’s and headed over to the pool. Even though we decided to not take a dip, you can’t deny that looking at that turquoise blue water isn’t relaxing and refreshing. ⁣

We ordered the Amici’s Combo 🍕 and the Kale & Sausage 🍕 pizzas (both PHENOMENAL) and enjoyed with a side of Meatballs and Garlic bread 🥖, while topping off our glasses with San Pellegrino. I can’t stop dreaming about this pizza! ⁣

Checked out Desi (@eatatdesi), a contemporary Indian restaurant, last weekend after *drooling* over the food photos. The menu is loaded with food, desserts & drinks rooted in traditional Indian cuisine but with a global twist––there’s something for everyone!⁣

Here’s what we tried: ⁣

*Gujia Empanada [My favorite, but I’m biased because I love empanadas]⁣
*Delhi Belly (on the wooden board)⁣
*Pepper Chicken & Parantha⁣
*Kulcha Chalupa Taco ⁣
*Desi Cold Coffee⁣
*Absolute Desi cocktail (flavored with the same syrups that go into some traditional Indian desserts!)⁣

We were NOT disappointed! The food was bursting with my favorite traditional flavors and the drinks were spectacular. ⁣

If you’re in the South Bay, be sure to check them out. A visit to the bar alone is worth a trip! They have All Day specials on weekdays (like $4 beer & house wine on Tuesdays), and they’re open six days a week. ⁣

Friends, I received some delicious food as part of a partnership with Desi. I stand by the food being fantastic and the service being great, and highly encourage a visit when you’re in the area. Haven’t had anything like it! ⁣

It’s 🍎🍏 season! I’ve put my easy Apple crisp together. The only things that stand between me and warm and sweet apple crisp are a handful of ingredients and about 45 minutes of baking time. Whatcha baking with apples this season?
